Gradam Gaisce Scoile (G.A.A. Flag)

Congratulations to Castletownroche National School on being awarded the Gradam Gaisce Flag for the school for 2013-2015.  The flag is a recognition of the school’s active participation in G.A.A. games, linking with the local G.A.A. Club and community and basically having an overall interest in G.A.A.  The red flag flying outside the school is the G.A.A. flag.

 G.A.A. Activities at School

Castletownroche National School are actively involved in G.A.A. on a weekly basis.  Two members of the local Juvenile G.A.A. Club, Derek Noonan and Eddie Sheehan come into the school every Wednesday to train children from 3^rd to 6^th class hurling.   The children really enjoy hurling and train very hard.
