Mission Statement:
Castletownroche National School is a co-educational primary school under the patronage of the Roman Catholic Bishop of Cloyne. The school aims to promote the full and harmonious development of all pupils: cognitive, intellectual, physical, cultural, moral and spiritual, including a living relationship with God and other people and promotes a Christian philosophy of life.

Our Objectives:
Castletownroche National School is a co-educational, Catholic Primary School which endeavours to create a positive, caring, stimulating and supportive environment in which the children feel  happy, secure and the uniqueness of each child is recognised and valued. Castletownroche National School is dedicated in providing for the personal, social, intellectual, moral and spiritual development of each child. We strive to enable each child to realise his/her maximum potential, to foster a strong sense of self esteem, confidence and mutual respect and to enable the children to develop as well adjusted individuals and responsible citizens.

Junior infants to second class had an enjoyable morning doing GAA at Castletownroche GAA pitch. Thanks to all who helped with this event.

About Us:

Castletownroche National School is a four teacher school consisting of three Mainstream Class Teachers and a Learning Support/Resource Teacher. In addition to the teaching staff there is an S.N.A., a secretary and a cleaner. 

We currently have 79 pupils enrolled in our school ranging from Junior Infants to Sixth Class. Castletownroche National School promotes the involvement of students in extra curricular activities such as sport, GAA,  drama, dance,music and many more.

Castletownroche is a health promoting school and has been awarded the Health Promotion Flag. We participate in the Green Schools programme and have received three flags.  We were also awarded a GAA flag from 2013-2015. We are working on getting an Active Flag and enjoyed our Active Week in April.
